Brian Olney has been working in the sports medicine world for over 20 years and has evolved through many post graduate studies to work as an osteopath/athletic therapist. He graduated from Concordia university and the Collège d’Étude Ostéopathique de Montréal after defending a thesis in front of an international jury on inflammatory bowel diseases and osteopathic treatment. Osteo and athletic therapy treatments cannot be distinguished from the other as both influences have lead to the global approach and movement re-education that can be so important to break tendencies and imprints that are causing negative effects.
Brian has worked with national level athletes, world champions, as well as newborns and golden age “not so newborns” with minor problems to systemic conditions. As experience as an athlete, coach, therapist, humanitarian volunteer and someone who has suffered from more than just aches and pains, he has come to the realization that things shouldn’t just get a little bit better but that they should be “on” and progressing towards autonomy for the patient.
The reasons for seeing an osteopath or athletic therapist are numerous and listed under the disciplines to help guide your thought process. Receipts of payment can be given as an Osteopath, or as Certified Athletic Therapist..
